PROCESS

Working on the floor, Elodie guides the palette knife deliberately and intuitively across the canvas. The impasto application of paint creates a relief-like surface. By righting up the canvas, the viewer's angle is a different one from that of the artist working. In close or distant observation, the pictorial space varies and billows, distinctive forms emerge and suddenly become movement again. Transformation being a central theme in Elodie's work.
