the bruise project art, collaboration 2020 –
During the lockdown there has been a significant increase in domestic violence and abuse. A topic that is already considered taboo is moving even further into the shadows.
There are many reasons to keep silent about the experiences.
The "bruise project" wants to address this topic in an exhibition format. In psychologically supervised interviews with people who have experienced abuse, the makers of the project learn about the personal stories of the participants. These stories are collaboratively processed and exhibited in an anonymised version.
Together we create space for empowerment and empathy for a topic that has many voices.
